The walk up was easier than expected, though my legs were starting to ache as we reached the top. The sight that greeted us made the climb worth it though.
We had Cardiff Castle to our left and City Hall and the Crown Court ahead of us. The walk down was a lot easier, thought it only shaved 60 seconds off the climb going up (6 minutes up, 5 minutes down). I think I'll do that climb at least once a week, and see if I can beat my time each time I do it. The road to the 3 Peaks is a long and hard one, but I've taken the first step (or the first 414 steps).

We have a charity walk for help for heroes on 14th April if you want to take part. Its up[ Pen y Fan. Let me know.
ReplyDeleteSounds good to me. Count me in :) I'll give you a ring tomorrow about it.
DeleteOnce a week and then up it to two or three! At least you get a payoff with that view.
ReplyDeleteGood thinking, Alex. Three times a week is doable since it's only 5 or 6 minutes up :)
DeleteHey Jamie do you wear any heart rate monitoring device?! It's quite cool to have one! You can check a lot of cool stuff about your exercise and can help plan it better!
ReplyDeleteHave a good one!
EMILIO!
I don't have one, but I'd like to get my hands on one - it'd be all kinds of useful when I'm doing my 3 peaks training :)
